Privacy policy

01Who to contact

In this policy, “Tavul”, “we”, and “us” refer to the developer of the Tavul app. For questions about the app or your privacy, contact support@tavul.app.

02Information in the app

Tavul stores the information you enter, such as medication names and doses, schedules, interval rules, intake history, supply levels, and optional notes about symptoms or wellbeing. Preferences such as language, appearance, and App Lock are also stored on your device.

These records are used locally to display your plan and history, calculate intervals from recorded doses, and schedule reminders. We do not receive these records. The current app has no account system, developer-operated data server, cloud sync, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs. We do not sell your health information or use it for advertising.

03Reminders and App Lock

With your permission, Tavul schedules local notifications through iOS. Reminder previews may display medication information on your Lock Screen. You can control notifications and previews in iOS Settings.

If you enable App Lock, iOS authenticates you using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode where available. Tavul receives the authentication result, not your biometric data or passcode. App Lock restricts access to the interface; it does not add a separate layer of database encryption and may be unavailable if device authentication cannot be used.

04Exports and backups

You can export a JSON backup or a CSV file and choose where to save or share it using iOS. These files can include sensitive health information and are not password-protected by Tavul. Before a restore replaces the existing records, Tavul also attempts to create a local recovery copy. Export and recovery files may temporarily remain in the app’s local storage until iOS removes them or the app is deleted.

If you save a file in iCloud Drive, send it by email, or share it with another service, that service handles the copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Tavul does not automatically send exported files to us.

Depending on your device settings, iOS may include Tavul’s local data in an iCloud or computer backup. This is separate from in-app cloud sync. You control these backups through Apple’s settings; we cannot access or delete them.

05Keeping and deleting your data

Your records remain in the app’s local storage until you remove them, replace them through a restore, or delete the app. You can edit or delete medication records in the app. To remove all local app data, use Delete App in iOS Settings; offloading the app keeps its documents and data.

Deleting the app does not delete files you exported, copies you shared, or device backups. Manage those copies in the service or location where you saved them. We cannot recover your local records or delete copies we do not hold.

06If you email us

If you contact support@tavul.app, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Our email provider also processes the correspondence to deliver and store it.

Please avoid sending health information unless it is necessary for your request. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of correspondence by emailing the same address; any applicable legal retention requirement may limit deletion.

07This website and Apple services

This static website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, or forms. If you choose a light or dark theme, the site saves only that preference in your browser’s local storage. Choosing System removes the saved preference. This setting stays in your browser and is not sent to us. The site uses system fonts and serves its images locally. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and request time, to deliver and protect the website.

Apple separately handles App Store distribution, device backups, and any diagnostics you choose to share through Apple’s settings. These services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Opening an external link also brings you under that website’s own privacy practices.

08Children’s information

Tavul is not specifically directed at children. If a parent or caregiver records a child’s medication information, the same local-storage approach applies. We do not receive those records. If a child has sent personal information to us by email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.

09Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the app’s data practices change and revise the date above. If a future feature needs a new permission or choice about sharing data, we will explain it before you use that feature. The English and Ukrainian versions describe the same practices.
